Privacy notice

MortgageExplained, operated by Muswell Rose Consulting Limited, collects only the details you choose to submit in an enquiry and uses them to introduce you to a regulated mortgage broker. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@mortgageexplained.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the information you enter: typically your name, email, optional phone number, your broad situation and any message. We do not require an account and there is no email gate to read the guides.

How we use it

We use your details to respond to you and to introduce you to a regulated mortgage broker who can advise you. We share your enquiry with that broker for that purpose. We do not sell your data to third parties.

International transfers

Some of our processors (for example Cloudflare, Google and, depending on region, our database and email providers) may process personal data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, together with appropriate technical safeguards, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Both run with analytics storage denied by default: GA4 operates in cookieless, consent-modelled mode and Clarity runs with consent declared false, so neither sets a tracking cookie unless you separately opt in elsewhere. We do not use this data for ad targeting.

Your rights

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC186833. You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@mortgageexplained.co.uk.
